A web developer in Worlaby, building for his neighbours

Ancholme Web is David — one person, working from the edge of the Wolds, for the small businesses of the valley.

Why a village web designer

I’m David, a web developer living and working in Worlaby. Most of my working days are spent on the technical side of the web: I build and run an ecommerce platform, and a website builder that hosts sites like the ones on this page.

Ancholme Web is the local side of that. The businesses round here — the farm gate, the holiday let, the livery yard, the pub — are mostly served badly by the web: sites built years ago by someone who’s since moved on, agency prices for a few pages, or nothing at all except a Facebook page.

A good small website doesn’t need to cost a fortune or take months. Because the platform is already built, I can put a proper site together in about a week, and you can keep it up to date yourself afterwards.

How I work

  • Plain English, no jargon.
  • A written price before anything starts.
  • You can change your own site — it’s not held hostage.
  • Enquiries come through the form, and I read every one myself.
  • Happy to call in if you’re local.

A few lines is plenty. Say what the business is, what you would like the website to do, and roughly when. I will reply with a straight answer and a price.

  • No need to ring round — everything starts here.
  • You will get a written price before any work begins.
